The Executive Board of the ICL

The Executive Board consists of 5-6 members and is headed by Kapil Dev. The ICL Executive Board has adopted an approach similar to standard corporate procedure in which key responsibilities are outlined for all members, some of which include – the formation of the 6 teams comprising the league, selecting the budding talent from within the country that will play in the ICL, laying out the playing conditions and formulating the rulebook, preparation of the grounds and pitches and finally creating innovations that will revolutionise the game.

Executive Board Members

Kapil Dev: He is widely regarded as one of the finest all-rounders the game has ever seen. Kapil's all-round capabilities catapulted the Indian team to the pinnacle of success and it was but natural that Wisden named him the Indian Cricketer of the Century.

Dean Jones: He was a very successful Australia's one-day batsman. He introduced the concept of aggressive cricket and power-running between wickets. Earlier, Jones was popular for his fielding technique and since retirement he is known for his skills as a commentator.

Kiran More: He was one of those gutsy little keepers who always relished a challenge, even thrived under it. He holds the Test records for most stumpings in an innings (five) and in a match (six). Kiran More has been the chairman of the Selection Committee for Team India. He now runs a flourishing cricket academy in his home town.

Tony Greig: He captained the English national team from 1975-77. Greig was an all-rounder who hit a century against the famous Australian bowling duo of Jeff Thomson and Dennis Lillee. He currently is a famous commentator known for his in-depth analysis.
