Zee bags UK rights for India-Lanka series

New Delhi: The ongoing India-Sri Lanka Test series will be telecast across the UK by Zee International.
Dubai-based Ten Sports, owned by the Taj network, has "syndicated the cable, satellite and terrestrial rights in the UK for India's tour of Sri Lanka to Zee International".
Ten Sports is already broadcasting the high-profile Test series across the Asian continent, and the addition of UK means wider coverage.
"The matches will command a potential audience in excess of half a billion fans spread across 100 countries," a statement from Ten Sports said.
DirecTV is telecasting the series in North and Central America, while Astro takes it to Malaysia and Fox Sports in Australia. Radio rights across Britain and Europe have been bought by the BBC for the series which got under way in Colombo on Wednesday.
Supersport subscribers will get to watch the contest in Africa.
India's tour of Sri Lanka consists of three Tests and five One-day Internationals.
