New Delhi: Australia captain Ricky Ponting firmly believes that the West Indies have been serious underachievers at their home World Cup.
Ponting said that they need to improve their infrastructure and facilities to avoid falling even further.
He said that they appeared to have succumbed to the pressure of being labelled one of the tournament's favourites.
Ponting's team was unimpressed by the West Indies' behaviour after they beat Australia in the Champions Trophy in India in October.
West Indies were convincingly beaten by Australia in their Super Eight encounter, which Ponting said was typical of their hit-and-miss temperament.
