Test matches should be given more care than the other format of the game, because odi and T20 has their own pace and excitement that carries the game straight into the hearts of the spectators and dosent need extra focus on it. On the other hand test matches despite of being mother of all cricket format is losing their attraction due to its slow nature, so the cricket boards and icc should be more focused on the developement of test cricket.

it is amusing why domestic cricket is porly covered in SA considering the fact that their national side have alwayas been a machine like professional outfit almost always(except in the early years of this decade)So where does the roots of their performance lie?its just amazing

i never agree that "in india cricket never has competition". i see hell lot of competition that scaring other countries. IPL has brought many new potential players in light like shikhar dhawan, abhishek nair, MS Gony.

Why should we worry about damage to established domestic structures in other countries, we in India don''t have much for entertainment so why shouldn''t we create leagues like IPL or ICL. Uptill now domestic games meant Ranjo Trophy boring Test Matches in India which no one used to watch but now even people with little knowledge of cricket are catching up shorter version of game just like Europe has its football mania. All other countries have other popular games too in India there isn''t so do not poke your noses into everything we do!!

IPL type experiment may not work in england bcos weather may interfere and many matches will be dedided by dl method. And they may not get such crazy crowds to make it a success.

I don''t understand whether this guy has problem with India/Asia or T20 format. At one point he scolds this format of game and other time he talks why other countries are also not going for it. He is really jealous chap keep cribbing all the time. I enjoy reading his column as it gives me a good feeling when I feel his burning sensation in his writings.

Bhai, you haven''t really read this guy too well. He always make a strong point. When he wrote for Indian Express his views were same; makesa strong point that you not gonna like, but make the point. Maybe you donna read newspapers. From what I have read, he''s a pro Indian guy. Not too sure why you say he''s cribbing. Cribbing what?

Matches in England may be marred by weather and many matches may be decided by the dl method.
