We'll have to play against history in Brisbane

Yesterday’s game was disappointing not because of the result, but more so because of the way we played. We have always been proud of the way we execute our plans, particularly in big games, but that clearly was not the case yesterday. Read The Article

Priyanka Madam Samantha,
Hope you have seen the final two ODIs at SCG and the Gabba. Wishing you and the Australian team good luck for the future. ( Posted: Wednesday, March 05, 2008 at 22:59 )
Dhananjay Parchure Dear Samantha,

Aussies did not win the series fair and square. Appeals against Rahul Dravid (bat being nowhere near the ball) and Ganguly (when Mr Clarke clearly knew that the ball was on bounce and while completing the catch the ball had touched the grass) were clear evidence of "win at all costs" attitude! Not walking when you knew that you have clearly edged the ball is fair and square? And your great mr ponting landing on hand with ball facing downwards, and claiming a catch was fair and square? (Mind you the racist proctor had banned Rashid Latif for false appeal for five matches!Ponting went scot free!)and I am only talking about the aussie blunders, leaving aside the umpiring wherein clear line calls were also negated by your third umpires! Samantha Dear Indian fans!! Read the article again and properly this time. Ricky very clearly praises the Indian players for their great cricketing skills and very honestly tries to sort out what was lacking in the Australian side. You Indian fans are displaying a very ugly arrogance and astounding ability to ignore the facts - one of which is this - Australia won the test series fair and square. No amount of dishonest, childish bleating about "cheats" and "bullies" will change that. ( Posted: Wednesday, March 05, 2008 at 01:26 )
Monoj Bhat Mr. Ponting :

We the "Indian Cricket Fans", sincerely "CONGRATULATE,you and your BOYS for
enjoying ''Supreme Domination'' in World Cricket"for quite sometime. As Australian Captain, you deserve credit. Here it is !!!

At the same time, YOU HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE (for the major part) the "Mud
slinging", and the "Harbhajjan Controversy". No matter what what,HISTORY
IF NOT TWISTED, WILL TELL THE TRUTH. Sir, be that as it may,WE THE FANS, will welcome you and your boys to "IPL and will show "courteous, healthy
cricketing forum" from which,We hope "ALL MONKEY BUSINESS SHOULD BE WIPED OUT ONCE FOR ALL".
BTW : Who discovered "Sledging in Cricket Sir???".

Kindest regards and deep appreciation for your leadership. ( Posted: Tuesday , March 04, 2008 at 22:20 )
Ritesh Agarwal Well.......Mr.Pointing be ready to give your crown to Mr.Dhoni which had alreay been proved with your cheap bidding in IPL and make your boys to behave as Sir Sachin Tendulakar did with Lee in the SCG final ( Posted: Tuesday , March 04, 2008 at 20:57 )
more Himanshu Ponting should learn to respect and acknowledge other teams(specially now that Australia are not the number 1 team!). India has defeated them in the one day series as well as in the test series(morally. Everyone knows how Australia won the Sydney test!).
What one infers from this article is that the Australian team in general and Ponting in particular is frustrated and taken aback by the aggressive behaviour of the Indians.
His bunch of brat-pack bull dogs are so disoriented by this stinging reply of fowl words from the Indians that they have resorted to ''obnoxious'' comments in the supportive Australian media.
Better adjust to this new Indian side Ponting... or be extinct! ( Posted: Tuesday , March 04, 2008 at 17:47 )
Upendra Mr Pointing
We know you are a though fighter but there is a difference between Professional Cricketer and a passionate cricketer, We indians are passionate about our game. Make no Mistake History will repeat 1 down will become two down. you will get the teste of your own cake. We Indians will be the gient killers. Your status of world No 1 is in grave denger. Look at Under 19, they too are ready and with No fear, They will learn this art of sledging and will beat you in your own background ( Posted: Tuesday , March 04, 2008 at 13:51 )
Ekraj Rawal Although india has posted a target of 259, thanks to the "cricket icon" to win for the aussies, it all is for the indian bowlers to show discipline and maturity to bowl at the right areas so as to avoid the aussies to free there arms. ( Posted: Tuesday , March 04, 2008 at 12:56 )
Ganesh Abraham Ricky, you don''t have to change or fight against history. The series will again end in a 2-0 result and you know who will be the winner. ( Posted: Tuesday , March 04, 2008 at 06:31 )
pramod pankajakshan Hello sir,
The way in which you have written this article shows your frustration. You are saying as if Indian players did nothing and it all happened because of some luck.
You are the captain and must learn to appreciate the winning team. Let me tell you, Indians cricketers injected something into Aussie minds, we all know what it is. Right now its killing you all...I bet its just the beginning.
