Hey Dr.Puri, We still need people like you besides Harsha and party. Great work. These are the lines needed in the midst of the series and not the ones like what Vengsarkar did.

Dr Puri is an excellent cricket pundit. I remember his cricket commentry on tv when i was a young teenager. This article brings back fond memories of his commentry days. Keep writing more article.

May I be allowed to acknowledge, and appreciate, an excellent, and superb piece of writing. If it had been Mr Ian Chappell, he would have never missed, his angling session! I never had the chance to contemplate Mr Lawry, play for Australia, but Australia had teams, which were worth their weight in gold, when they took to the field, in the era of the 70''s.

Yes Doctor, I still remember "We will go fishing" was the headline in the newspapers next morning. Oh!What a series it was! A new star had born there. The little master, stylish and wristy batsman GR Vishwanath. I still remember his chanceless debut century with all free flowing all along the ground shots and those exquisite square cuts. I think he had hit maximum fours 29(pl. correct if I am wrong)in his 137. And that made Mr. Dongarpur to eat his words who was too happy to bring back Sardesai after first innings duck by Vishy.

Excellent piece. A very nice change from the regular diet of insipid writing (except for one or two columnists, around the world). Cricket''s best appeal is that it has inherent nostalgic feel, and such columns bring that feel out. Please continue with more such columns.
