Sri Lankan 'mystery' bowler Ajantha Mendis continued to be an enigma for the Indian batting, returning figures of 3-21 in the first One-Day International at Dambulla on Monday.

The bowler got into the act right from his first over, completely fooling Yuvraj Singh. That wicket was vital since Yuvraj, having enjoyed a life earlier, was slowly beginning to get a foothold.

Mendis then also snared the potentially dangerous Mahendra Singh Dhoni and polished off the poor Indian innings by removing Munaf Patel, maiming him the ideal candidate for the Top Performer title.
