ram hi , hello selectors please select the young team.u have lot of young players in our country .for eg.yousuf pathan , and badrinath and so many . try to give more chance to youngsters . i think sachin sourav, and dravid has time to retire. so drop the senior players . thats my comment ( Posted: Saturday , October 06, 2007 at 12:39 )
muralikrishnan Last time Team India won a game against Australia batting second was in Sharjah 1998. After that team india has never chased any total against Australia successfully. ( Posted: Saturday , October 06, 2007 at 10:48 )
mayur I am not surprised by the Team Selection. I knew that this time also the selectors will use their power to select a very weak bowler(Who would be better contender in this category other than Murali Karthik).Shame on Mr.Vensarkar when u r dropping a spinner u should have picked a better spinner. If u don''t have any options I give u many options to choose: S Badrinath(All rounder) , Yusuf Pathan(all rounder), Iqbal Abdullah(left arm spinner from mumbai), Monish Parmar(Indian Muralidharan, U-19 team), Ravinrda Jadeja(U 19 team).Fast Bowlers: Yo Mahesh( U 19),Abhishek Nair(Allrounder, mumbai),Abu Nachim(U 19 & Bengal). S. Badrinath had scored a double centuty and taken 4 wicket haul against South Africa A last week and is among the Top run getters in domestic cricket. What has Marali Karthik done till now for his selection in the team?I am aware that he has done well in County cricket? But that is not enough. Is he consistent? If This kind of selection continues i bet we will loose this series easily and even against Pakistan and Australia (in Australia).
Hope my words will AWAKE you Mr. Vensarkar. ( Posted: Friday , October 05, 2007 at 20:01 )
more M. Samdani Bring back Kaif guys. He will provide a solid strength in the middle order and on the field. The selector''s and the BCCI are sleeping. They need to get a kick on their pants by the public. They have destroyed a genuine talent. Kaif would have been a Captain today had the Selector''s and the BCCI have not played their dirty politics. CricCrazy It''s time India break this 300+ jinx. If India can win a world cup with out the 3 senior players, I think they should try and use the "Dhoni''s Destroyers" in ODI too. We are losing even with the 3 seniors in our team then why not try it out with youngsters and see if that makes a difference.

And please use "Gandhigiri" on the ground instead of getting tangled in the war of words. Good Luck! Team India, we know you can do it. Break the arrogance of Australians as they need to come out of their victory dream too... ( Posted: Thursday , October 04, 2007 at 21:26 )
srinivas As an ardent fan of cricket and 3 biggies what pains me most is the way we lose. Losing is not at all a bad thing but the way we lose is a matter of concern.

We can save or win the matches only by becoming mentally strong. That is what lacking in our team. There is no dearth of skills or talent.
Time and again our batsmen have proved that they cannot handle pressure of 6 run rate and above. So, why dont we restrict the opposition in first place? That is how the approach should be.
We are not able to capitalize the good opening given by the opening bowlers. Once we let the opposition loose.. the rest is bound to happen.
Australians are doing more damage in the middle overs nowadays. Time to think about it. Forget about the concept of big hitting in the initial overs only. Play normal in the initial overs and few good overs will follow.

Balaji A player''s presence in the team affects the overall performance not neccessarily just in the difference in terms of runs. I dont agree with the line that Ganguly would not have made a difference. he has gotten a lot slower but he is solid. a partnership was all that was required to challenge the mighty and if he had been involved in one, who knows- jinx could have been broken. Lets hope that India pays back in the rest of the series! ( Posted: Thursday , October 04, 2007 at 11:56 )
