'Shoaib will bring a lot to the team'

Kolkata: For the Kolkata IPL team, now Shoaib Akhtar will be sharing the fast bowling responsibilities along with Ishant Sharma, Umar Gul and Ajit Agarkar. In an exclusive chat with CNN-IBN's Sukarno Sen, Agarkar said Shoaib will be of great help to the Kolkata Knight Riders..

Ajit Agarkar: Obviously, all of us are disappointed. We started off well but as you know in twenty20, everyday is a new day and we haven't played well enough in the games that have gone by and that has probably reflected in the results as well. While, the other teams have obviously played better than us.

Sukarno Sen: Shoaib Akhtar will now be joining the team, will that make a difference?

Ajit Agarkar: Yes, I hope so!

Someone as experienced as him, who has been around in international cricket for so long, obviously will bring a lot to the team, so, someone with that kind of an experience always helps having around the team.

Sukarno Sen: You are an experienced player but how much John Buchanan's coaching has helped you? How is it making a difference to your team?

Ajit Agarkar: He is very organised and he is very sure of what he wants. As far as coaching is concerned, he is still getting to know the players a little bit but not just as a coach but anyone who is watching the game, sometimes picks up things that you sometimes tend to ignore, while playing. So, it is always handy to someone, and specially if it is him, who has been around the Australian team, seen a lot of top players over the course of last 10 years or so, then all those experiences always helps. Any input is always welcome.

Sukarno Sen: As far as the money is concerned, where are you going to spend so much of money?

Ajit Agarkar: I don't have so much of money. You have got the wrong person.
