V Keerti I like this blog. But in any industry, sport there is a transition where seniors guide new comers - there is no evalution, don''t get carried away. If Sachin was out early in three critical matches Srilanka(virtual semi final), and two finals, we wouldn''t have been celebrating here. Remember second final after Sachin getting out. Neither blame Jr.s nor get carried away with the win, A project team (BCCI) didn''t plan proper transition for new commers ( Posted: Tuesday , March 11, 2008 at 10:51 )
ramu v ramanan In the 90''s I used to watch Sachin thrash them. I was a kid then, but now in my early twenties, I realise what went wrong with Team India afterwards. Yes, Sachin did become the GOD of cricket for us. He still is. At one stage the edge between success and failure was Sachin Romesh Tendulkar, and thats when we made the mistake. We didnot blunt that edge where we balanced between success and failure. Now look at Team India, its not just Sachin with stands between success and failure. We have blunted that edge where we balance. Even if Sachin goes, Dhoni comes, Yuvi comes, Uttapa comes, Shewag comes and many others come. We have blunted that line. We shouldnot commit that mistake again when we asked one Sachin to take lead. Let this young team lead together. Let them hunt together like a PACK OF 11 WOLVES. Let them win. Ram Prasad Everybody contributed their might in dusting the australia in its own den. It is a wonderful performance from the Indians who are tagged as "Number One Chokers" when it comes to performance, especially, during one-dayers or tests abroad. But both Dhoni and Kumble proved wrong. Kudos to Indian team for their wonderful performance in Australia. Eventhough, we have lost the test series 2-1, everyone was under the impression that but for the largesse provided by Steve Bucknor, India would have made it 2-2. I wish the Indian team the best in the forthcoming series with South Africa. Tendulkar was exceptional and brilliant so are the others like Praveen, Ishant, Rohit Et Al. mayank Sachin,no doubt, the name is enough to bring shivers among the oppositions.he is the superstar of indian cricket..the loads of expectations that he has carried with him through years is well beyond anyone''s imagination..manjarekar did a fine job in evoking the giant by saying that he is an under permormer when it comes to batting in the second innings..and like always he proved verey body wrong once again...it was only he who could shatter the invincibility of the aussies and he did that in style...may he continue playing till 2011 world cup..coz its always a joy watching him play ( Posted: Sunday , March 09, 2008 at 17:20 )
Mortal Wombat India were the better one day team, playing with wonderful commitment and composure, and deserved their win. Sachin was awesome.

Australia won that test series fair and square, they didn''t "just hang on" with contentious decisions. Sydney was ruined so we can’t count it, Australia won well in Melbourne, lost by a mere 59 runs in Perth, and were the only team in a position to win on day 5 in Adelaide. They were the better test team, and deserved to win.

Be honest and give credit where it is due.

Athreya Everyone loves Sachin. He is just like God for us. We watch the match only when Sachin is batting, and the time of winning. When Sachin is out, we all switch off our TVs and pray for the victory. Sachin saved us from losing to winning. He is the best for ever. He is the real Bharat Ratna.
We all suggest Indian Government to give Bharat RAtna award to Sachin. Without him we lose our patience, confidence and everything.

We love you Sachin, You are the Gift of God for India. and you are the best.

We wish you all the best for you and your family.
We pray for you that all your dreams come true.

SACHIN U R THE REAL JEWEL OF BHARAT, BHARAT RATNA. ( Posted: Sunday , March 09, 2008 at 05:07 )
Rajinder Goyal For Australians, the series with India have taught them a lesson or two. For one, they have come down from their padestal, and are no longer the invincible they thought they were. Secondly, their on off the field behaviour, especially that of Heyden, Ponting and Symonds, have not only been criticized by the Australian media itself, it has exposed the Australian myth that they are the best ambassadors of cricket. They are not. And their series with India have brought them down to the earth. ( Posted: Saturday , March 08, 2008 at 22:54 )

Charu Sachin is the greatest batsman ever. It was a good team effort but a lot of credit has to go to Sachin in the finals. Both his knocks were match winning efforts. As a matter of fact in all the matches India won he was the top scorer. The young bowlers have done well but am not still convinced about the batting depth. India needs Sachin. I hope we win the World Cup 2011 and he gets the Player of the Series award :-)

Out of the younger lot only Gambhir looks consistent. Robin and Rohit have some more proving to do. They play well when either Sachin on Dhoni is on the other side (maybe a calming influence). In this series the highlight to me was Sachin sending the ball over the slip, off bouncers from Lee/Johnson.
The young guns need to learn from him when he''s there and not go overboard with this success.

One last point... if this series win deserved 10 crores then the test series win in Englan after 25 years should have got at least half of it. Looks like BCCI is not interested in developing test batsmen. ODI and T20 are in vogue. Too bad about that. Why can''t the media take up this issue.
