Ian Chappel commented during the "scrap" between Bhajji & Symonds - It normally happens when someone is scoring runs - and at the moment Bhajji is scoring runs ( 50+ ) so you can guess who started it. The Aussies have always tried to "eliminate" good opposition- Example i. Called Murali for chucking ii Reported Bhajji for chucking iii. Called Shoaib Akhtar for chucking iv. Bully umpires & try to get players "banned" legally When others complain they side step the issue & say this is the way we play - we play hard but fair - that comment always comes after an unfair act. Kumble & India should behave like the Aussies - just complain after any sledging

As per the television replay, the argument between bhajji and sym as gone for few minutes. But, except that one word nothing else was reported. More over it''s Sym, talking most.

If there is an altercation, on the cricket pitch, where both parties have exchanged hot words, and if one complains of racist abuse, what does the Match Referee do? Both Harbhajan, and Symonds are to blame for the altercation. The Australian team must not conduct itself in a manner, which normally will provoke aggressively their opponents, not just in regard to their cricketing skills. I believe, all the cricket boards must make an appeal to both the ACB, and the ICC, so that a positive and benign relationship is maintained between opposing teams.

I think everyone would be aware of the infamous and ugly incident that took place between McGrath and Sarawan in a Test Mach in West indies in 2003. After that test match was over no actions were taken and this is what the Match referee for that match had to say about the whole incident, " I saw nothing wrong with Australia''s brand of aggression on the cricket field. Australia has always played pretty tough cricket, I don''t think anyone wants them to change the way they play. Sometimes, people like to knock the people at the top. They are a wonderful side and play in the spirit of the game." Does anyone remember who that match referee was? Yes, It was Mike Procter. I believe Mike Procter is responsible for this whole incident whcih took place in Sydney. He knew that Indians were already upset with the umpiring decisions so he should have seen that the tension shouldn''t have escalated but he still went ahead and banned Harbhajan when there was no substantial evidence. I dont think "monkey" is more offensive than what McGrath had said to Sarawan. Then why didnt Mike Procter take any action against McGrath. This is the same Match Referee who went and banned Rashid Latif, the captain of Pakistan for 5 matches for appealing for a catch which wasn''t cleanly taken. Then why is no action taken against Ponting for claiming a catch against Dhoni when he never took the catch cleanly. I believe the real racist here is Mike Procter who has always been harsh with the players on subcontinent and lenient towards the Australian players and he should be sacked for his double standards.

Well Said, John Samuel..Australia did not play with right spirit on the second test match... Even a team like Scotland can make a record like this if they follow Aussies. I always have had believed that Australians are great in cricket but after watching the second test I can say they are worst in all aspects of sports....Symonds is a great liar and Great Actor too.. It is a shame for him standing in the crease after giving a catch to Dhoni.. He knew well that the ball kissed his bat but he was standing there without walking to the Pavilion..and he has no rights to make a complain against anyone. Symonds is not at all matured and still behaving like a school child in the ground even at the age of 30+. Using a word "Monkey" will not cause any racial impact but Symonds over acted and created a big scene in order to help his Captain "Ricky Ponting" by causing damage to Harbajans presence in the third match..Ricky ponting should step down as a captain and even Australians feel the same..Australians, please do not celebrate this victory (Record) if you have honesty. Shame,,shame..shame for Australians.. Fame..fame..Fame For India! Jai Hind!

Why are you praising Proctor for his cricketing abilities now. He purposely took no action for 5 days. Instead of punishing the guilty he only picked up Harbhajan. Speed was only worried about Yuvraj not being punished. For me this is the height of partiality.

Whether the Harbhajan issue is a real one or pre-planned one? It appears to me that if it is incidental one, ponting should have a talk with Kumble rather than put it to the attention of Match referee.

i am 100% sure that Harbhajan has not used the word "monkey" beacause that is the word my son and his friends who are in the age group of 7-8 years commonly use. how can u expect people in the age group of 20-40 years use this silly word. it is all rubbish. He must have actually used the word "teri Maa-kee" which is a very commonly used abusive and harmless word in Hindi. In any case Ponting and his men have unnecessarily created controversy as if they are the most perfect gentlemen on earth. they are optly called cry babies.
