Mumbai: A magnificent unbeaten century by India’s under-19 World Cup winning captain Virat Kohli and a 60 not out by Manoj Tiwary helped India-A drub New Zealand-A by seven wickets in the Emerging Players (One-Day) tournament at the University of Queensland Grounds, Brisbane on Friday.

Chasing a respectable 248 for six set by the Kiwis, India-A reached the target with still nine overs to spare. Despite losing opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and in-form Suresh Raina and skipper S Badrinath, the Indian lads overhauled their opponents quite comfortably.

Earlier, India-A, who are unbeaten so far in the tournament winning their opening ODI game against the Aussie lads by five wickets and then the Twenty20 match against South Africa, restricted their opponents with six of their bowlers taking a wicket each.

Medium pacers Manpreet Gony, Pankaj Singh, AbhishekNayar and Siddharth Trivedi and spinners Amit Mishra and Ravindra Jadeja all picked up a wicket each.
