Full name: Irfan Khan Pathan
Born on: October 27, 1984 in Baroda (Gujarat)
Teams represented: India, Baroda and Middlesex.
Specialty: Left arm medium pacer and left hand batsman.
Profile: Considered as one of the best all-rounders, Irfan Pathan, made his Test debut against world champions Australia at Adelaide in December 2003 and lived up to his reputation bagging a fine double (1041 runs from 28 Tests and 38 innings) and (100 wickets conceding 3141 runs).
With a highest score of 102 runs, apart from another six fifties, and the best bowling of seven for 59 in an innings and 12 for 126 in the match Pathan was one of the members of the victorious Twenty20 World Cup winning team, who made his ODI debut against Australia at Melbourne on January nine, 2004.
With his ODI record as impressive as his Test records (1243 runs from 93 matches with 83 as his highest individual score and 135 wickets with five for 27 as his best) Pathan will be a big attraction in the IPL tourney and is justified of commanding a whooping 925,000 US Dollars from the Mohali team for one year thus becoming the highest paid all-rounder in the tournament.
Pathan, who made his Twenty20 International debut against South Africa at Johannesburg on December one, 2006 has not been really outstanding with the bat scoring just 60 runs from ten matches and bagging 12 wickets with three for 16 being the best.
