Panchkula: Hyderabad Heroes' skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq and his former Pakistan captain Abdul Razzaq's unbeaten 79-run fourth-wicket stand steer their side to a seven-wicket victory over Chennai Superstars here on Sunday.
Inzamam plundered 44 not out from just 27 balls, while Razzaq cracked a 20-ball 40 to condemn the Superstars to their first defeat at the Indian Cricket League, after the Heroes successfully chased down a stiff target of 163 with 2.1 overs to spare.
Anirudh Singh and Ambati Rayudu had already given the impetus to the Heroes with 31 and 28 respectively, before Inzamam and Razzaq finished it off in style.
Earlier, Chennai Superstars had looked on course for a fourth straight win in the competition when they piled up 162-4 in their 20 overs.
Former Australian Ian Harvey stood a chance to go back with an even heavier pocket after his man of the match performance on Saturday, when he scored an unbeaten 63 from 55 balls after opting to bat here.
Captain Stuart Law assisted his Australian colleague with 44 before Hemang Badani hammered an unbeaten 33 from only 13 balls. Earlier, Harvey was lucky to survive a 'freak' chance, when, Azhar Mahmood hit his stump but the bail jumped up and fell back into the groove.
