He's the most expensive foreign player in the IPL but for Andrew Symonds the experience of playing in India has been about much more than the money. The big Aussie spoke exclusively to CNN-IBN's Roma Khanna about his short stint in the league before leaving for Australia to join the Test squad.

CNN-IBN: As you are heading back to Australia, how have been your last three weeks here?

Andrew Symonds: It has been really very interesting. I really didn't know what to expect of the competition when I arrived here but it has been very exciting and very successful. The twenty20 here in India is a good sport.

CNN-IBN: Do you think it is better to leave on the winning note after the first three losses?

Andrew Symonds: Ya, it feels much better to leave on a winning note. It is not right to walk away when the things are not going too well but it was a much happier dressing room after the last match.

CNN-IBN: Matthew Hayden has said that playing with the Chennai Superkings have help him understand how the Indians think and the way Indian dressing room functions.

Andrew Symonds: Indian culture is a lot different from that of the Australian culture and so is the dressing room. It has been interesting to see how things are done here from how we do it at home.

CNN-IBN: What is the impression that you get? Can you point out one or two things?

Andrew Symonds: Indian dressing room is very busy. There are people who you have never seen before are there in the dressing room, in contrast to in Australia, where you just don't have the access to the dressing room, unless you are a part of the team or the support staff. That is one of those things that you will have to deal with, which is a bit different. You have to have a lot more patience, I think, playing in India with little things like that.
