A very useful lower order batsman, the Punjab star, has scored 1133 Test runs with 66 as his highest score from 63 Tests and 883 ODI runs with 46 as his highest from 169 matches.

In the Twenty20 matches he has already taken nine wickets conceding 228 runs from 10 matches with two for 24 being his best figures for an economy rate of 7.12 and an average of 21.3 and scoring nine runs for a strike rate of 69.29.

With an annual package of 850,000 US Dollars, Harbhajan is one of the costliest spin bowlers in the IPL and is signed up by the Mumbai team.
