more Tirthankar Hi there,

This is shameless to say that even though Rahul Dravid is a very good cricketer but he must learn the basic logic in order to win any match. In the third one dayer versus England, how could he allow 5 bowlers to play in a team of 11? He should know that cricket is an all-round game and not a bowling game. So, in any pitch its always advisable to take 3bowlers, 2 all-rounders and rest specialist batsman. Most of the people might say that Indian fielding was very poor on that day but they loose the match not only because of fielding. Had there been an extra batsman or an all-rounder, things would have got changed by the likes of Yuvraj because 42 runs was a mere small margin. I don''t understand why the selection committee is not given chance to someone like Irfan Pathan, J.P.Yadav who could bat at least in order to support the tail enders. Now its high time we should realize that we cannot improve Indian bowling. So, we should have to win the matches only by using our strong batting line-up. adi i want to give my own personal opinion regarding the 3rd test match which i may be wrong to the experts.my view after that match is dat,we cant be the best team i mean number1 among the cricket playing nation after that 3rd match result. what is reason for not giving follow on to english side when we know the condition at that moment.what is the need for playing that safe which i beleive 99.9 % england cannot win except they may push for draw and 99.9 % we will that match.we need to change the mindset attitude and the we project ourself, need to have killer instnick.i m very disappointed. satinder bhandari From my point of view, this has been the worst captaincy by an Indian captain, which lacks the spirit of the game and the killer instinct. A team having a lead of 319 and still feels itself under pressure, what to say.
They should have given the follow-on and if needed score the runs after England batted.
The guys should have faith in them. ( Posted: Sunday , August 12, 2007 at 21:05 )
more siddhu Well done team india.Zaheer is doing exceptionally well. But there is no need for sreesanth to do some rubbish activities.normally we indians are soft in cricket. But he is contradict to this.My suggestion is to replace him by ranadeb bose in the 3rd test ( Posted: Tuesday , July 31, 2007 at 23:12 )
Kiran Mavani With the pitch at trentbridge becoming easy from the third session on day one,it would need some splendid bowling and fielding effort from India on day four to bowl out England - maximum by lunch on the fifth day. Remember, even England''s tailender is not going to throw his wicket by indulging in rash strokes like some of the Indians did at Lord''s.What is needed perhapes is to introduce Kumble and Tendulkar into attack if one or two wickets fall early. These days, Kumble is''nt brought into attack when a wicket or two fall and early when the new batsmen havent settled down. rajan 1st of all i want to tell all indian people & media specially ,they take thier very instantly.they put the player on the head one time but after sometime they put them in legs.so dont be hurry, but i m sure india will win definitly becoz all players are contributing good.
lastly best of luck for indian team. ( Posted: Sunday , July 29, 2007 at 09:58 )
Piyush Disappointing article to say the least. If we wanted a summery of the match we would turn to highlights. You are a journalist with yet unproven ability, you are not a psychic . Stop predicting the outcome of a series when it is too early to do so and also check your source of information. Trent bridge was never going to be washed off as rain was only predicted in day 3 morning. And if I was to judge the Indian performance at lords, i wouldn''t call their fielding pathetic, when clearly it was the batting which let them down.
