Mr.Jha, please attempt to write articles in a language befitting your background, posted alongside, then it might perhaps become worth a reading, contents notwithstanding. In its present form, many will give up after one or two paragraphs, atleast those who chanced upon your participation in a cricket debate on one of the media channels recently.

Try something diff. Atleast for a month you shouldn''t talk about BCCI. Is that possible? Common sir, without BCCI and Modi, you guyz will not survive. Even if you guyz didn''t have anything to speak about you will start to go on them for their urine smell without realizing the fact everybody''s thing is same. Don''t think you guyz won''t accept this fact....

The idea of choosing by SMS is a good one ;-) Nowadays we seem to choose everything by SMS where there is no bar in sending number of SMSs. So, basically crazy people sendiing 50 or 100 SMS from same mobile wins the day. It''s a pain to see Vengsarkar humiliated. I find him a fair and straightforward person who sometimes gets into trouble by making some unwarranted comments. Now BCCI wants to rob him of his money and pride and don''t want to give back anything in return. What''s the fun in it?

Hi Sanjay. Very good one. I am happy you finally supported Dilip when he needed the most. What baffles me is that they allowed him to write for more than a year and now suddenly they want to follow code of conduct. It is no secret that a group within the BCCI does not want to see the sight of the Colonel and instead of telling him straight to walk thru the door they choose to find silly code of condcuts like not to enter the dressing room, cant travel to see matches etc., really shows the respect they have for the game. Its telling Sachin that he cannot bat. I dont think anyone has contributed to the game so much as Dilip post retirement so passionately and it is sad that the game''s administrators are gunning for him. Even the dropping of Rahul Dravid has been attributed to him when Dilip was the one who gave Rahul the team he wanted for the England tour. Surely Dilip does not fit in the present scheme of things.

Yes Mahadevan,I agree with you. Finally we see someone like Sanjay Jha to voice his opinion in favour of Dilip.Ofcourse, there has been innumerable fans and admirers like you and me who too, have been voicing the opinion through such comments or to the replies to it.As for Sanjay''s article about Dilip,I disagree on one point where he says,he should have walked out.Had he done so,his critics would have got another opportunity saying why couldn''t he think in the interest of the cricket. He had been closely watching all the players all these months as a Chief Selector during Ranjis as well as other tournaments.Had he not attended the meeting at BCCI,the committee would definitely had been at a great loss.We salute him,for not shying away from his 1st love,1st duty as a Chief Selector and bypassing all comments about the ego clashes etc.Now all one can hope is Mr Sharad Pawar sticks to his words and solves the problem amicably.

BCCI may not be all that professional in running its operations. But, I think that Vengsarkar has erred here. He wants the cake and eat it too. If he wants to earn why should he opt for an honorary job?

Dr.CMM SUNDARAM. MD MRCP MBA
We know Vegnsarkar played good cricket with abit of luck.Kudos for three successive ton at Lords,Emerging from shadows to lime light showed his inbility handle it .His arrogance caused unrest among players. His handling of Drvid clearly brought out his vindictive nature. When he could not control himself ,how culd possibly control process of unbiased selection. He became larger than Indian cricket and the National team.BCCI an organization run like a lemonade stand is dysfuctional one.Money of course is the root of all thse shenanigans. With all the debacle and washing soild dirty under clothig in public with our immatureand unsofisticated media maks Indian criket laughing stok.Lots of cleaning up is needed, hopefully it may happen.

Mr Sundaram,
I am really surprised to see a person like you who has a medical and business degree to boot think so low. It is like people asking you to do free service in whatever you do. And also it is pathetic you said he played with bit of luck. R u on medication as he was one of the best players ever played professionally back home for us in 1980s. He was the most dependable. Even Sunny Gavaskar the all time best Indian batsman doesnt have match winning knocks like Vengy had . If you dont know please check, his knocks in Lords and Leeds in 1986 were the best efforts ever by an indian batsman on bowling aided pitches. Dont forget his knock against Sl 166 on a minefield. His 146 N.O against pak in Delhi bought India to near victory. His 6 centuries aginst WI which was the best team in the world at that time should not be forgotten. He was an introvert but always a gentleman and lead India to victory aginst NZ and in Asia cup. It is not his arrogance you have to look at his high thinking in allowing the captain having his wish by selecting shewag for world cup and giving him the team he wanted for England. It is a disgrace people like you chiding him. Please think.

RAVINDRAN
AS THE CHIEF SELECTOR SO MANY THINGS PASS THRO YOU AND INTO YOU AND IT IS FOR YOU TO FILTER OUT UNNECESSARY THINGS AND LET OUT ONLY THOSE THINGS THAT DONT RUFFLE ANYBODY. YOU CALL IT TACT OR DIPLOMACY. PERHAPS VEGSARKAR DIDNT HAVE THIS.DRAVID, BY RESIGNING ,HAD SUBTLY EXPOSED THIS.YES ,U CAN WRITE A COLUMN IF U R NOT GOING TO GIVE IT A FUTURE TWIST IN ITS CONTENTS.FOR REASONS BEST KNOWN TO THEMSELVES BCCI WANTS TO PERSIST WITH HIM WHEN HIS MIND IS ELSEWHERE.I AM TEMPTED TO SUGGEST WE DO AWAY WITH THIS SELECTION COMMITTEE AND CHOOSE THE TEAM BY SMS FROM PUBLIC. U KNOW, GAUGING PUBLIC OPINION BY SMS IS THE RAGE OF THE DAY.SOUNDS NOVEL AND IDIOTIC?MIGHT WORK ,AFTER ALL ,AND NO EXPENSES INVOLVED.

Sanjay, I agree that V-sarkar was a great indian cricketer but not the smartest one.His handling of media is very poor.he should have quit after all the drama. He should ask his mates Ravi and Sunny for some tips.It may help. The whole drama further exposed the Indian Cricket Mess.

Most of the time your articles make sense. But why must you write in such a complicated manner? If you think that makes you come across as intelligent you''re mistaken....
