Haris Mr. Jha, At age 11, if yer daughter doesn''t know the meaning of teri maa ki, then you''re living in a fool''s world. I have a nine-year-old niece who knows what these mean, not because of the society she''s living in, but because of the television bombardment, the lousy advertisements, and the saas-bahu sagas that depict every other woman an adulteress. Illicit relationships unwanted pregnancies and adultery is all we see on television serials. In fact, the movies have started to move on to better genres, our TV is responsible for the urban decay. The media plays MMS clips (albeit censored), the DPS scandal over 50 times in half a day, I didn''t see Indian TV channels spend as much time on Bush''s illegal war! Just cuz in today''s cricket you have over-intrusive technology wherein you can literally zoom in to any level of privacy of the cricketer on field, doesn''t mean the earlier cricketers or any sportsperson for that matter, did not utter obscenities in the heat of the argument. This is a part & parcel of professional sport. Harbhajan doesn''t owe any Tom, Dick & Harry an apology and if today''s kids are decaying in their minds, modern day''s sportsperson is the last reason to blame. Vinod Kamath I have learnt a few tricks from Bhajji''s ''Monkey'' incident and Govinda''s slapping incident. Both were openly aggressive but accused the other person of provocation. Neither could prove the provocation.
What if the provocation claim was false?
I think this is a good trick. Be ''openly'' aggressive/offensive towards others and justify your behaviour by falsely accusing the other person of provocation. ( Posted: Thursday , February 07, 2008 at 15:58 )
Mortal Wombat This is the best article Sanjay Jha has ever written on this site. It''s a pity that a few more of the hot heads on both sides didn’t take such an honest and even handed approach. ( Posted: Wednesday, February 06, 2008 at 01:25 )
VivTheKing The author has always given more importance to the vacabulary rather than the content. It looks like Shakespeare writing about cricket.

When you are writing something publicly, the first point to consider is whether it reach people. Then, obviously the content.

Its easy to write something like this these days. We can draft it in Word and use the functionality of the word to show off our vacabulary strength. But, it doesn''t server any purpose. ( Posted: Tuesday , February 05, 2008 at 04:10 )
Bala I do not what does Mr.Jha have against Tendulkar Or Is it his love or Ganguly that makes him take a swipe for Tendulkar whenever he gets an opporunity. Read this sentence '' if he did, then how does BCCI, Sachin Tendulkar, Cricket Australia or ICC cover itself in crowning glory? Has there been another under-the-seat deal, and will we only know facts when someone pens a hurried autobiography?'' ( Posted: Monday , February 04, 2008 at 13:03 )
Ashok Very Good one. I must say except when you take that completely obvious partial support towards Ganguly (honestly i don''t know the reason why you do so), you almost always produced such good articles giving both sides of stories :)

Kevin Great article mate. One of the few that provide both sides of the stories. Loved the humour here and there 2! ( Posted: Friday , February 01, 2008 at 17:12 )
