prasanna I remember Saurav in his younger days used to be dapper smart, his hair cut and combed neatly, clean shaven and the crease on his dress unruffled, shoes shining white. His batting elegance enhanced with that smartness in appearance. The press went hammer and tongs at him for the aristocratic lineage and he started wearing a more ordinary, less spruced up look. It is about time Saurav got back to his stature and set the example of dapper appearance and demeanour. One should take the examples of Vujay Merchant, Vijay Hazare and Pataudi on this. After all, cricket is about entertainment and we are watching close ups and replays ad infinitum! So, please spruce up back to your dapper style and make the visuals more pleasant. subu Good artilcle but dont you make it very obvious that you are really overdoing the knock of Ganguly...Is he not capable of a better performance, i for one feel he can do much more.Do not underplay why he was out of cricket all these months....I think we have to put him on the right track by telling him to make his bat talk and not the media, advts and politicians in Bengal.

He seems to not stop yapping as he feels he can bulldoze his way back by any pathetic means...... ( Posted: Friday , December 22, 2006 at 18:57 )
Bijesh Mr. Jha, I''m a keen observer of you blogs and You were doing a great great job, because you believe in a true Hero and he again proved he is. Many media out here criticised Sourav in a such a bad way that, no one else in the cricket world, faced this much humiliation after serving the country for this many years. You kept the spirits alive with your writeups. We fans really thank you for keeping us to alive with you rationales and thoughts. You had a hell lot of job and I''m extremely happy to say that you are the only one journalist who were supporting Sourav, in such way that, it keeps the spirits high among we fans.

Thank You Mr. Jha..
Keep doing it...

Jawidur Rahman Dear Jha,Your earlier comments on Saurav, were many readers questioned without any sense.I for one not only enjoyed and endorsed the similar sentiments what you had on saurav and Greg Chappel.i knew Saurav will be back and Chappel coaching style will be questioned.I reitierate again Greg''''s style, arrogance, hard nosed, radical style of coaching will not suit Asians. With Saurav Ganguly back in the stream of selection, I am confident that he will make it to one day as well. Now we have a chance of reaching Semi- final in the WC''''07 with saurav, Zaheer back in the team. I doubt whether we will be reaching WC''''07 finals as long as the radical/whimsical Greg chappel style of coaching , aggressive posturing is eradicated completely. He has blunted the confidence of sehwag, tried his luck with great sachin, spoilt Irfan bowling by making him to bat higher. If India has to reach final. two things ..Rahul dravid should call the shots and not Greg chappel.Irfan should fire as a bowler.Sehwag will be back in form and I have no doubt. We are missing Irfan as a bowler and thats the key for our failuer in one day matches. make gangulu the leader and all the players including Sehwag will perform. more Indian I think Greg Chappel should be kicked out, because under him performance of all established cricketers starting from Sehwag, Dravid, Tendulkar, Kaif, Pathan gone down. In this test contribution came from non-regulars like Sourav, Laxman, Zaheer and Kumble who were not under Greg Chappel coaching since long. There is big fault with his modern laptop coaching style. Rajeev Many of the comments here are made by over-emotional, biased people who often mix up one-day records with test records. And what''s worse is that some of former players who showcase their stupidity as "experts" on TV channels are even worse in this regard. ( Posted: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 06:05 )

"You said " When was the last time we saw India display such inflexible resolution, such a pugnacious determination and survival strength? "... Well that was in the LAST TEST MATCH THEY PLAYED.. REMEMBER JAMAICA ?? FIRST DAY ?? DRAVID - KUMBLE PARTNERSHIP ? JUST AROUND 200 RUNS POSTED WITH SOME GRITTY EFFORTS FROM THESE TWO OLD HORSES.. ?? DO YOU REMEMBER ANY OF THIS OR YOU HADN''''T YET STARTED TO FOLLOW CRICKET BY THEN.. TO TAKE NOTHING AWAY FROM WHAT GANGULY DID IN 1ST INNINGS, BUT MR. EVERFORGETFUL JHA YOU RUN A WEBSITE NOT A PROPAGANDA MACHINE (OR AM I WRONG!) SO SEE WHAT YOU ARE WRITING.. DONT MAKE ASS OF URSELF!!!""

you are one dumbass PSPO!! you say when india last showed some fight? i say, when did india last have a chance to win a test series abroad, if you dont count the matches in the subcontinent?! why is the dravid kumble partnership already forgotten? i assume, for one it was because you cant compare a bowling line up consisiting of ntini, pollock and nel on a good bowling track to that of west indies.. period. more thecoolkid Its very wasy for people who have no sense of cricket and who have never held a bat in their hand write comments on cricket. Sanjay Jha with his jhakkas or should I say bakwaas is one of them. By the ways guyz have you noticed that jha no longer appears in the headlines. Maybe its the same case with him as was with saurav when dalmiya was there. If one match was enough to justify a man''s performance I think we should make zaheer and vrv as openers. I have heard all this fuss about making ganguly the captain again. Well zaheer batted too well for # 11, then shouldn''t he made the captain and what about sreesanth, our man of the match shouldn''t he be the captain. Muzzy Jha can never get it. Ganguly needed a kick up hi butt to perform again. Being left out of side has benefitted him more. If he want dropped then, he would not have been playing again. ( Posted: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 01:01 )
