sunil nambiar australians are very aggressive and positive.so we can''t blame them.but these arrogant, rudemannered head weighted ''obnoxious little weed''indians should behave themselves.that''s not their traditions.the way sachin, dravid especially vvs laxman&kumble played the game very gentlemanly and they succeded their respective careers.they are real players.todays new generation players are thinking they are above the laws and above the authorities. srishant nad harbhajan are very much arrogant and they should thrown out of the team at ones.otherwise we the people should enter the arena and give a lesson or two. mind it. Praveen Ramakrishnan Cricket is no longer a Gentleman’s game. Boxers engage their opponents in a mind game with verbal sparring. Aussies have got this into cricket. How many Aussies in the last 10 years have been on the losing side? This is clear by seeing the stats of Gilchrist. The issue is that despite having champs in the Indian team with world record holders, we rarely come across as a composite team consistently. We should ignore the sledging issue & let the bat & ball speak instead of gestures & actions. Ishant & Harbhajan should bowl their hearts out & make it hostile which will tell the Aussies that we put our money where the mouth is. This should also be matched by the batsmen firing on all cylinders & belittling the Aussie pride. By crying after a defeat makes our case go unheard. The crux of the matter is the inability of our team to match their word power with their prowess on the field in a consistent manner. ( Posted: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 06:30 )
Scott Even the Indian media act like cry babies when India lose or get fined. Grow up!!!!!

India is getting a bad reputation as bad losers.

sm Personally the India/Australia Tour ridicule the game of cricket. This is a sport that is enjoyed in many parts of the world no matter your ethnicity but recently it has gotten out of boundary no pun intended. I am a neutral fan of the game because the USA does not have a team. Like millions around the world I have to watch the games via TV at a ridiculous price. It is an embarassment to watch a non contact sport with so much animosity. Some of the Australian players including the umpires and referee completely made a mockery of this game and thewhat''s even worse is that no one is doing anything about it. And to add more salt to the wound they are coming out with another tournament and paying these people a ridiculous amount of money. As a fan, I have lost my interest in this game and would not spend my money to every watch another game ever again. Good Luck all you cricket lovers. Mukesh Stop being cry babies and reacting to everything the Aussies have to say. We shouldnt be so sensitive to anything that is said on the field. Aggression is good for the game. I believe Symonds was actually complementing Ishant on a good delivery and the poor boy didnt understand the Aussie accent and took it to be insult. I dont think Symonds is innocent in every incident but we have to also stop over reacting and complaining for every silly thing said on the field. The Aaussies never complain and take it on the chin (except for racism) and we should also take it on the chin like men and let the battle stay on the field. vishal The Aussies are past masters at targetting a particular player and winding him up.It a a well charted out strategy and not something said in the moment. If one is brutally honest, you have to admit that the way they do it is quite admirable. There are no overt gestures or any tell-tale indications that can be picked up on camera. What is deplorable though is that this behaviour has not been picked up by the administrators nor by the opposition. It is time that the teams around the world picked up on this in respond in a way that hurts.Take the Sarwan-Mcgrath or Symo-Bhajji case. Both were unseemly incidents but it shows that if you hit the right nerve one can get to them. The actions cannot be justified but then who are the aussies to define what is accepted and what is not!!

more j.venkatesh I feel sad even with this kind huge money at its disposal our inefficient BCCI is not able to do anything to control the ugly Aussies. That big boy Symonds who is starting all the ugly scenes is not at all punished and the match refrees who I feel are really racists and take sadistic pleasure in not punishing the aggressors and punish only the victims of the aggression. Players like Hayden and Ponting who are calling our Harbajan as Mad Boy are acting as if they are saints. BCCI don''t you worry country''s pride. Then how else you are inviting these ugly characters like SYMONDS, PONTING AND HAYDEN t our country to enjoy our money after hurting all our pride and sentiments. Really cricket lovers like me will never see your IPL 20/20. I request all Indians who are having any sort of self respect should not watch these ugly and unsporting Aussies. with your financial clout BCCI can''t you exercise your power in putting end to the careers of people like Jeff Crowe and Mike Proctor as match refrees. If Symonds Ponting and Hayden are still not punished by Match refrees only God can save this game from the ugly image of the Australians who are nothing but poor losers. DJ Talk, talk, talk, talk, winge, winge, winge. Hey, beating Australia is what all teams have achieved. Don''t you follow international cricket or only India? You make it sound like something soooooo great when India does it! How about waiting until India actually achieves something against Australia and save all Indian energy on actually doing that instead of talk, talk, winge, winge. You know what an achievement is? Maybe winning a series against Australia... how about that?

Can you only see one dimension in every game? You would have to be blind not to see the Indian bowlers in particular give it to the Australian batsman when they get them out. I''m sorry if you are blind for that last comment.

Which way do so many in the Indian media want it? On one hand many are so ''proud'' of how Indian''s are standing up to Australia and then you complain when they loose it when they get a mouth full back. Jokers. If you can''t stand the heat... or at least achieve something... you can''t even beat Australia when their batsman out of form. Well, starting this weekend there is a great opportunity for Team India to achieve something. ( Posted: Monday , February 25, 2008 at 17:51 )
more PT What makes you think Symonds said something devastatingly unkind, or Ishant only responded by asking him to go to the pavillion in some very kind words or that the refferee did not examine what Symonds said to Ishant?

It is true that it is Symonds everytime but isn''t he the one who is being targetted by the us ever since the last series here? Targetted by the spectators, players and media here. To follow that up the monkeygate thing followed by Bhajji rolling on the floor like a monkey after taking a wicket and many more such incidents all targetting Symonds. Is it because of his race or the way he looks? Symonds has been provoked more often than he has provoked anyone.

Sledging is a part of the game but we also need to know how to make it work for our advantage. Firstly it works best when you are over the top, losing one game after another and indulging in over the top sledging makes you look like a fool. Sledging is to intimidate not to offend. By unfairly targetting a single player and losing so often we have made ourselves look like spineless clowns in the middle. Instead of sledging for the heck of it we need to learn the tricks of it and back it with substance. ( Posted: Monday , February 25, 2008 at 17:13 )
joe shah scrap simminds contract in the Icl, remember if you take the K out of monkey, he has been rewarded with money, but dont let him come to India, let him go to Pakistan.Players cannot pick and choose where they want to play. ( Posted: Monday , February 25, 2008 at 16:44 )
