Well said Deba. But do u think anyone with the power to change is listening? As for India''s performance if one term it such. Well Dravid is my all time favourite cricketer but please he is no captain. Sourav would never have declared when Tendulkar was on 194 in Pakistan. He knows the importance of milestones for your place in the team to be assured and he knows the team will only benefit if the players are happy and confident in achieving these milestones. Dravid sure places game plan, team above self, through personal example yet, but one wonders if the addage is not taken too far. Right now the team looks so insipid. Even the ''cool'' Wall is looking frustrated. Well I have added my two bits too. But will it make any difference? My suggesion is wait til the World Cup 2007 (the classic excuse oft-given) and then when India loses absymally in that look out for the sweeping changes beginning with one Greg Chappal and unfortunately Rahul Dravid too I suspect.

Dravid said “Playars must perform”. Times of India on 28th published the averages of our top batsmen for their past 10 matches: Name – Total run - Average Dravid - 134 – 14.89 Raina - 153 – 17.00 Dhoni - 196 - 21.78 Sehwag – 269 – 29.90 Ganguly also in the same boat in 2005, when he played 13 matches, scored 209 with 17.9 average (looks better than Dravid & Raina – isn’t it). In 2004 Ganguli played 31 matches scored 947 runs average is 32.66. In 2006 so far, Sehwag’s avg is 27.5 in 19 matches, Kaif’s 20.31 in 16 matches, Raina’s 30.19 in 20 matches, Dravid’s 34.17 in 24 matches. Wow! Only Ganguly has to perform to be included but for other it is ok! I think Ganguly, Zahir and Anil are very much needed in our team for today and until WC. Dravid looks insipid in the middle – did you guys observed him when WI was 91-1 in last match, where is his aggression? where is his “scheme of thoughts” and all those “calculated strategies” – we have very familiar with these kind of management “golis” by now from him. Today we may win, only if Australia makes lots of mistakes but not for our so called performance or strategies.

well said biru, infact raina is in the side only to keep ganguly out, sehwag can be replaced by gambhir, this so-called match winner has scored only these high scores in past one year 73vs pak in abudhabi,2 90+ scores in WI and yesterdays 65.If gambhir is persisted for one year sure he can contribute better than this. And for the talks of on his day sehwag can win match, when will that day come??

No benefit of talking to a deaf and dumb people. You cann''t wake up a person, when he pretends to be sleeping. The wrost is the chappell and dravid combination not only deaf and dumb but also take decisions on off-field. The big fat cheque receiver should be thrown out for which Dravid should step down immediately for the benefit of his country.

Ganguly must be given a chance. What has he done to the Indian team to treat him so bad.He is a batsman who has an average of 41 even now. He is the only Indian who scored 3 hundreds in last challenger trophy (againt England, Southafrica,Newzeland). If you people are talking about his form why the others in the team still remail there?. I never expected Dravid to do this to Ganguly. Chappel is doing nothing great. He just driving a repaired car. John wright put all his efforts to bring this team up with Ganguly. What the hell chappel is doing? He is doing things as if a kid has got so many toys to play with.Dravid is just a dummy. He doesn''t have the guts of a man. Ganguly was the first to inject aggression to the indian team. He is out and india is the same old one. Yuvraj, harbajan and Viru tried to express but they are warned not to open their mouth. This is mere politics. It was a better oppertunity to give DADA a chance. Those who talk about his form should keep in mind He was the one to break the record of sachin in getting 10000 from lesser games. Sourav you are a great player.

Guys its time we get together and ask the Indian Cricket Administrators and Selector to either give us hard answers or get lost First they need to explain the continued absence of Zaheer Khan from the team. He is amongst the most outstanding Bowlers in the English Cricket Circuit this season - from his 1st match itself he has been outstanding. Further, if one analysis his performances in the last 5 - 10 International matches itself had been good - we were just beginning to see a reinvented Zaheer when he was dropped. Then, if we compare his last 5-10 matches with the last 5-10 matches of few of the current superflop stars - Agarkar / RP Singh / Pathan / VRV Singh etc etc, its amazing! Infact, an Indian Fast Bowling combination of Zaheer, Munaf Patel and Sreesant will be extremely potent and far more awe inspiring then couple of the earlier named mediorce jokers. Hey Guys - as the saying goes "Jago India Cricket Lover Jago"

THEY WONT BRING BACK SOURAV GANGULY AT ANY COST. THEY HAVE TAKEN A VOW NOT TO BRING BACK SOURAV GANGULY WHATEVER COME MAY. SO IT IS NEEDLESS TO REPENT ON SOURAV''S NAME. WELL! FOR THE REST...VVS, KUMBLE AND OTHERS THEY HAVE A CHANCE IF LUCK FAVOURS BUT FOR SOURAV IT IS BIG BIG NO.

Laxman''s failure''s my friend? Apart from the great man himself [Sachin], Dravid and Yuvraj do enlighten me any other specialist Batsman who has met with success in atleast 5 matches of the almost 55-60 ODI''s that we have played since 2005?
Kumble bowls a little quicker in the air and the pace can go against him?? Well, just to refresh your memory, Kumble has been around the International Circuit for almost 2 decades now and has always been quick through the air - its his forte and one which has earned him wickets by the dollops all over the cricketing world.
By all means chop, change & experiment but not in do or die encounters with serious opponents which may severally dent the confidence of not just the Team but also an individual if they / he fails continously.

Ganguly, Laxman, Kumble and Zaheer - guys who have delivered in the past and who still evoke respect and fear amongst opponents are supposedly not in the reckoning due to poor form / age / younger talents around? Well the so called younger talents have not been delivering - once in 10-15 matches a decent performance does not qualify for being reason enough to keep these tried and tested stars away. U replace proven match winners only is you have better talent and importantly these talents delivering and performing in a manner wherin the country does not need to talk about the dropping of the stars. As a cricket fan, an Indian team with Ganguly, Laxman, Kumble, Zaheer amongst the Eleven will ANYDAY give me a greater sense of confidence than one with Raina, RP Singh, Romesh Powar and Kaif / Mongia.. And what about Sreesant? Somethings the matter with the Indian Selection and this somethings not smelling, sounding, looking good..for the millions of Indian Cricket fans.
( Posted: Saturday , October 28, 2006 at 19:41 )
I believe we have seen enough of Laxman and his failures against teams other than Australia. Even against Australia in the 2003 series in India he failed badly including the finals.
The same goes for Zaheer. He bowled poorly in Pakistan when we toured last. He was no better than R.P.Singh and Pathan in the Karachi test and has the tendency to get injured every time he plays international cricket.
Kumble....may be. But even he went for runs last time he played last on Indian pitches. He bowls a little quicker in the air and his pace can go against him.
Ganguly.....well he has to perform in the domestic circuit. One can''t say that he will play only when he is picked for the national team. He has already been given an extended run. The last year and a half of his career was pathetic.
The thing is that if you play the same team people complain that we don''t have bench strength and if play new faces only for a short period people say there is too much of chopping and changing and finally if we give them a decent run then people say that experience is better. It is difficult to make everyone happy.

AND PLEASE CUT THE CRAB PERFORMANCE NEEDS TO BE MEASURED IN SAME SCALE AND NOT 2 DIFFERENT SCALE, ONE FOR SC GANGULY AND ONE FOR REST OF THE PLAYERS. I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE IND V/S AUS MATCH WE GOT NICE KICKING ON THE BACK SIDE AND WE ARE OUT OF CT.
