Gilly Got his record - by maximum catches, at least one of them dubious one - that of Dravid. Remember the Goal for which Meradona had to apolagise to the world. R. Viswanath	Gilly was a true GENTELMAN. Very sportive personality. I really enjoyed his game for a decade or so. See, hoe he retired from the scene when he is still in top form. That''s great. It requires certain maturity. alas, Indians lacks that approach. High time our so called GREATS learn a lesson or two from crickter like Steve Waugh, Gilly & the like. LVISS	AUSTRALIANS HAVE TWO FACES ,ONE ON FIELD AND THE OTHER OFF FIELD AND IT IS TRUE OF GILCHRIST TOO. THE OFF FIELD ONE ,IT APPEARS ,IS THE REAL ONE. WHAT AUSSIES FIND FASCINATING IN OUR COUNTRY IS BEYOND ME. MAY BE BECAUSE WE DONT KEEP GRUDGES FOR LONG. GILCHRIST ,LIKE GREATBATCH, WHO REDEFINED ONE DAY OPENING , JAYASURYA AND SEHWAG IS THE MOST DESTRUCTIVE ONE DAY OPENER. HE COULD PICK THE DELIVERY FORM OFF STUMP AND CART IT AWAY INTO THE MIDWICKET STANDS WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT. THE GUILT OF DROPPING LAXMAN,IT IS RUMOURED, HAD FORCED HIM TO CALLOFF DUTY. saurabh kumar	Gilchrist is truly one of the most great wicketkeeper batsman the world has ever seen.He was the one who started this job of wicketkeepers who can bat well, and not only bat well but plunder the opposition attacks.Here we saw a wicketkeeper in Odi''s, who came upfront and blowed away the opposition with his array of strokes.Not only his batting, but his keeping was great too and the record speaks volumes about his performances.He has played memorable innings like his mature innings of 169 v/s Pakistan or his swashbuckling knock in World cup07 finals which cost Sri lanka the cupfinals and he got the second fastest century in test matches too.He is a legend.Cricket will miss him for sure. Sanchit	Cricket will never be the same game without Adam Gilchrist and I can pretty much say that this is the biggest loss to international cricket in recent times.His critics can go on by saying Australia will find some better talent like they''ve in the past but it''s NOT possible to replace a man who scores a 57 ball century at WACA, get his form back in every world cup final and leave the crease in the semidinal when given not out.He''s simply a legend with greatest of skills but still so modest in his approach.
