It''s to early to say wether dhoni is the successful man to leading india in any form of cricket.And we should stop glorifying him in this early stages.From indian point of view a man who has leaded any state team,should b an ideal choice.

M.S.DHONI IS A KEY PLAYER TO THIS INDIAN TEAM, HE HAS SHOWN A LOT OF CHARACTOR WHEN FACING CRISIS, EVEN IF HE IS SHORT OF GOOD TECHNICS AS A BATSMAN & AS A KEEPER BUT STILL HE IS REAL FIGHTER, I HOPE HE IS THE HOPE OF INDIAN CRICKET IN THE FUTURE,

Weather apart, it surely was MSD who saved India. But he has a lot bto learn on the technique part he may not be able to do the same against abetter attack, similar pressure and another day. It is a shame that he, the flamboyant bat who is a natural talent with a great eye should have to do all this. Seeing the form of the seniors, MSD deserves a higher slot in the order so that we can use his talent to score early runs in his unothodox style and push the bowlers'' morale down. If he scores a good 50 at #4 he will probably create a good chance for our so called ''big 4'' to do better.

It is heartening that both Tendulkar and Ganguly looked good in patches.The conditions certainly helped the bowlers and you cannot be harsh on our batsmen.They can only improve. Laxman has to make way for Yuvraj. I would bring in Powar in place of Sreesanth and use Ganguly as the 3rd seamer for the second test match.

I M AGREE WID KRISH THAT IF DA BATSMAN HAS DETERMINE TO STAY AT WICKET HE CAN BUT DA INDIAN BATSMAN DUE 2 LACK OF APPLICATION WAS UNABLE 2DO SO. I THINK THEY NEED 2 BE POSTIVE IN THERE APPROCH

Hi Sree,
I have a lot of belief in Dhoni as a player. I think he can be the next Kapil dev in a batting point of view. Deadly when he wants to be and responsible depending on the situation. I think the Team for the second test should have one replacement which is Jaffer. I think Laxman should open with Karthik as he is technically strong and Yuvraj should bat where Laxman normally bats as Yuvraj and Dhoni are good finishers and responsible cricketers. The bowling attack should be the same but Sreesanth should not be given the new ball. He is a better blower to the right handed batsmen and if RP or Khan are able to take one or two wickets before Sreesanth is brought in then he will be effective.

good article.but i dont know why even a simple innings of dhoni gets the limelight.everybody knows that he got two lives in his innings.what if that had gone against him...now nobody thinks.he is a failure as a test batsmen.what has he got except that century against pakistan(2006),to show as his test match performence.nothing.he was a complete failure in tests against WI and SA.nobody comments on that..as he is in the team.he fails in a number of innings and then he plays 1 good knock against bangla(without its main bowler)..and ther comes the article..."dhoni has matured,he is great cricketer,,,bla,bla bla.isnt it foolishness.let dhoni learn atleast a bit technique so that he survives in cricket for some more time.

We always expect our teams to do better in the next match.Chaps like Sachin Ganguly Laksman Kumble etc should do better in the next game.Once in a while they score some runs and get some wickets. They never do that when we need them most. When we criticise them they say we do not have a sporting culture.These players should give up the culture of greed and retire before they are hounded out
