Mr Jha could you please tell us, what are the factions of BCCI? i mean now that Dalmiya has done a ''mother of all comebacks'' who/which board is his rival for the post of BCCI president. Could you please write or ask one of your writers to write a detailed version of BCCI inside politics? ..

I do know my Contracts Act! A person in the employ of say Coke would not be allowed to work for Pepsi during his continued employment at Coke! (It ain''t murder but a conflict of interest, work on your explanations and examples:) ) Playing for Notts is not public policy:)!

The comments about Zimbabwe are slightly silly as is the assumption that world cricket can somehow get Zimbabwe to change its ways. The fact of the matter is that Britain and the USA failed to get the UN Security Council to agree on a resolution imposing sanctions on Zimbabwe similar to those that were slapped on apartheid South Africa. To somehow blame the ICC for the real failures of the British and US governments, and furthermore seek to lay the blame at the BCCI''s doorstep is nonsensical. And there is nothing "obfuscated" about my thoughts on that one!

First Ask your favorite players Tendulkar,Ganguly,Kumble,Dravid and Shewag to play well in Sri Lanka particularly against Murali and Mendis. The Fabolous Five has turned to Wasteful Five and ask your Younger Players to concentrate on cricket rather than going behind Bollywood ACtress. The players should earn the trust of Public

r.karthikeyan,
i think chawla must neal down if he doesnt play well for india.as sachin tendulkar who is living or playing cricket legend in india is saluting the indian flag every day it shows rahul dravid is only having a city ride in india in his vahanams which has lord krishna before him otherwise selectors will have no game with dhoni who will be saying in india as(dhoni mera naam aur chori mera kaam?

and you do not know your Contracts Act. Under Contracts act you clauses that violate public policy are null and void ( For example, in an employment contract cannot have a clause that asks you to murder someone). what BCCI is indulging is blatant Restraint of Trade which a criminal offence in many countries. Besides BCCI''s monopoly over cricket is questionable and must be challenged under MRTPC. It is after all a club, it has nothing to do with India and the so called "Indian" team is just a club team which is a franchisee of ICC. They are not even allowed to use the Indian Flag. anyone should be allowed to host cricket tournaments. That is the free markets way of figuring out what is good for the game. BCCI is full of old self-serving buffoons who treat the players as their personal slaves. Many of their acts may considered criminal in may real democratic countries.

You attended the fundamental rights class but missed the one on the law of Contracts! Laxman and Chawla are contracted players and have to act within the regulations contained in the Contract! Cheerio.
