vik I am not sure if you have a personal thing against Sachin , Sanjay.Sachin had to speak up in Australia because he was the only Indian apart from Harbhajan who was present in the zone of action. Here, Sachin wasn''t even playing and far from being present at the point the incident took place. Moreover, BCCI did issue a gag on the players and umpires following the incident. So I don''t see how you could blame Sachin for any of this Sanjay. samir The Dynamic world of cricket needs to take a holistic view
It is important to put into perspective the induction of city based leagues to the world of cricket. It started with the ICL followed up by the IPL. There is an expected change in order in the way cricket is viewed and consumed by you the consumers. The Challenge for both the leagues is the same the IPL needs a window on the international calendar while the ICL needs the same in the Indian calendar. In the hype surrounding the IPL the true patrons of the game need to understand that the importance of ICL is not forgotten; as after all it has been chosen as a platform by some very promising domestic talents whose opportunity has been curbed by an unfair ban.

I think Dhoni , Ganguly , Dravid Kumble and Sachin have seen the ills of domestic cricket so far . I think they should come out in support of their young colleagues who have chosen the vibrant & transparent platform of the ICL
How can messiahs of globalization of sports marketing practice restrictive policies with ICL Players.

Sai Sachin did not cooment because BCCI warned players not to comment on this to the Media. I am eageraly awaiting Mr. Jha''s scholarly analysis of Sourav Ganguly''s performance as a batsman in the tournament so far.. ( Posted: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 13:34 )
Hemanth as usual like any other column from mr.Jha - this one lacks meaning. BCCI backed Harbhajan because there was no proof against him and sachin came to his rescue for the same reason. why the hell do you go after Sachin all the time?, this is ridiculous. I remember you writing that Sachin will play IPL irrespective of whether he is fit or not. he has not played 4 IPL matches, if he is so mad after money - he would have feigned injury and played the matches. other than writing unsubstantiated arguments - you should also learn to take responsibility to your words.
Sachin saved him also because he was at the non-striker''s end on the field, it is not so in this case. why do you hold so much of grudge against the master?, is it jealousy ?- but you are too small a guy to be jealous about such icon. come on dude- give it a break, your criticism of sachin has reached ridiculous proportions. don''t make a joke of yourself. even sober critics like me also are forced to vehemently criticize your columns just because of your worthless columns. wellwisher Dhoni is lucky that he has been performing well if not I can gurantee with 200% certainity that Mr Jha will start performing a post mortem of every failure of Dhoni, why, just because he dropped useless players (e.g.: Sourav Ganguly) from the ODI team.

Am I write, Mr Jha. ( Posted: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 04:30 )
more wellwisher The harsh reality, that Mr Jha cannot swallow, is that cricketnext exists today because of IPL and BCCI. Look at the way he puts both IPL and BCCI down. If you really cannot stand IPL then dont follow it.

But no, you cant do that, rather wont in that case your website will go down faster than your receding hairline (pun intended).

Also, one needs to keep his hand where ones mouth is, that Mr Jha makes sure that he punches a huge hole into the same plate (IPL, BCCI, Sachin Tendulkar, etc etc) that feeds not just him but all the employees of this website.

There is ethical journalism and then there is Mr. Sanjay Jha.
